This Québec Lesbian Network activity will focus on the theme of the invisibility of the L in our LGBTTIQA2S community and specifically in Montréal’s gay Village.
This placard workshop will immediately precede a “Visibility March”. Organizers hope to demonstrate that lesbians and the women of the sexual diversity exist in significant numbers and that their non-presence in the Gay Village does not mean they do not exist.
Participants will be invited to create placards explaining their motives for leaving the Village and their new increased visibility thoughout the City. Speakers from the Network will address the audience on the issues raised by this year’s theme.
