Ethnie-Cité

As part of the Canada Pride Montréal 2017 program, Ethnie-Cité seeks to be a rallying point mirroring the ethnic diversity of our city. This grand multicultural evening hosted by stage darlings Moe and comic Em features an extraordinary journey to the four corners of the world. From East to West and North to South, it aims to illustrate diversity through differences. This multidisciplinary presentation brings together choreographers, dancers, circus performers and percussionists. Some 50 artists will be introduced including Gypsy Kumbia, the multicultural big band that dances and makes you dance with its irresistible fusion of traditional Columbian percussions and Eastern European fanfare music.

The magic of the Middle East and of arab music, the joy of the dabke, the lebanese folk dance are interpreted by Moe. The splendor of Rio, its characteristic music and rousing rhythms, along with the colorful costumes is personified by the warm samba of Penande Estime with Lisa Duffy and Jenny Acosta. Next, our flight heads for the Caribbean to welcome emerging electropop singer Randy. Vietnam is also represented by emerging R&B stylist Narcissé Soulsinger, multidisciplinary artist. Welcome aboard!
