The Drag Superstars Back in Montréal This Summer for Pride

Montréal, April 27, 2017 – Following last year’s triumph, Montréal Pride is proud to announce that the Drag Superstars show will be held for a second edition on Thursday, August 17. Multiple former participants from RuPaul’s Drag Race will brace the TD stage at Parc des Faubourgs, Montréal Pride’s new outdoor venue, located at the entrance of Jacques-Cartier bridge.

Among the drag queens whose presence has been confirmed are Yara Sofia (season 3 and All Stars 1), Tatianna (season 2 and All Stars 2) and Peppermint (season 9). Montréal’s Barbada, the winner of the Mx Fierté Canada Pride Competition, selected by a jury last night, will also be part of the show. Several more drag queen will be announced in the coming weeks.

From August 10 to 20, Montréal will host Canada Pride Montréal 2017, a special national edition of Montréal Pride. Over 150 activities will be organized. The full program will be unveiled on May 9.

In addition to daily spectacular shows, in both Parc des Faubourgs and Place Émilie-Gamelin, Canada Pride Montréal 2017 will host two conferences, a three-day national one on LGBTTIQA2S rights in Canada and a second one-day international event on Sexual Diversity in the Francophone world. Programming also includes a Sports tournament, a Community day, the traditional parade and over 150 diversified activities open to the general public.
